Whoa, Something Changed - 07/01/05

Freezee Pop has been completely redone with a new design, look, feel, and layout. The main links above have been shuffled to better suit visitor needs, links to the search and site map have been placed at the bottom of every page, and "sub-section" links are now accessible under the title of each page. The design also incorporates lots of CSS and XHTML improvements, which should allow for easier visual updates in the future (there is even one CSS3 property in there). Of course, as with any major change such as this, there are bound to be broken links, typos, missing files, or just plain funky behavior. If you do encounter any problems, feel free to E-mail me.

Desktop Craziness - 1/22/05

Several new images for your desktop have been place in the Desktops section. The first is one you are already familiar with, Aspen Fire, but now in Widescreen format. The other ones were all taken during my offroading trip at Mud Springs Trail in Arizona. They include Canyon, Wash, Fog, Distance, and a panoramic view of the mountains, labeled Mud Springs Widescreen and Dual Monitor - perfect for those with two monitors or a display that sports a 2560x1600 res. Check out all of the new desktops on page 3 of the real desktops.

... This time with pollution! That's right, everyone's favorite halloween character, CowVault, is at it again, terrorizing Freezee Pop (which thanks to him is no longer frozen). Cleanup will have to take place over the next week or so. Have a happy halloween and stay away from them monkeys!

Thanks to Devin, a new set of images has been added to Takin' Apart. He disassembled an Apple PowerBook 520 and photographed it. He even got it to run off of two 9 volt batteries!! (for about six minutes. hehe). Takin' Apart has also been changed a little to match the new Desktops section's theme. Check it out, yo!

Another Widescreen Desktop Image - 8/7/04

The latest addition to the Desktops section is an image of inter-city beauty. It is a picture of the I-10/I-19 interchange, "The Crossing," in Tucson, AZ. It was taken at the ribbon-cutting ceremony today. You can get it in resolutions proper for widescreens, dual-monitor setups, or standard 4:3.

Desktop Image Fun - 8/4/04

Oops, missed a month there. Sorry about that. Anyway, I changed all of the desktop images from being compressed as Stuffit files, to now just .zip files for better compatibility. I also added a (somewhat) new desktop image. You will recognize it as the "Mountain" image which has been around for quite some time. This though, has been modified for high-res widescreen displays and dual monitor setups. It goes up to dual-screen 2560x1600, for all of you with two Apple 30" Cinema Displays. The download links include the files for both single and dual setups. Check it out.

See A PowerBook's Guts - 6/23/04

Three New Desktop Pictures - 6/23/04

With the refinement of the Desktops section just complete, I decided that it would be nice to add a bit more content. The three new backgrounds are titled "Sleepy," "Puppy," and "Grass" in order to keep with my original naming scheme. Check them out in the Real Desktops section.

If you are using Internet Explorer on Windows, you probably noticed a few gaps which appeared in the Freezee Pop Shop bar on the right side of this page (those gaps should not have been there). The Holidays Are Upon Us! - 12/22/03

As you can see, Freezee Pop has changed to reflect that. My small gift to you this Holiday Season is a collection of Christmas light images made completely from scratch. My motivation to make these was a result of not finding any images on the web of Christmas lights which I liked. You can download them here, in the Photoshop Document and JPEG formats. Have fun during the holidays, eat some pudding.

Lucky for us, ComedyCentral.com has recently begun selling Frozen Kenny Plushes. To celebrate this, I bought one, and added him to the collection.

PS2 In Pieces - 7/11/03

Pictures of the insides of a PS2 are now posted in the section Takin' Apart. This dissection was to fix the DVD-ROM Drive, so only enough to get into that drive was removed. Also included are pictures of the Network Adapter and 40 GB Hard Drive which comes with the PS2 Linux Kit. Go check it out.

More Fire - 7/11/03

Just added more pictures I took of the Aspen Fire a few days back. Go here, and scroll down a bit to see them.

Freezee Pop and Fire? - 7/3/03

Currently, the United States' largest wildfire so far this year, the Aspen Fire on Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, AZ, is visible from my front window. Yesterday, the fire began to head down the southern side of the mountain, making for a great view from the city of Tucson. During some of my free time, I went ahead and took some pictures of the mountain, and have posted them here. I also turned my favorite picture into a desktop image, and placed it in the Desktops section of Freezee Pop.

Another Present! - 3/28/03

Ok, this one isn't a good thing. At the time of this posting, you probably can not see this because the domain freezeepop.com is down. This is due to a DoS attack on the DNS servers that freezeepop.com uses (their traffic jumped from a normal 20 MB/sec to 200 MB/sec!). For more details, go to http://mydomain.com/about/aljazeera. If you ever have problems reaching http://www.freezeepop.com again, use the address http://homepage.mac.com/freezeepop. Sorry for the problems.

A New Desktop Pic - 3/28/03

I love playing with Adobe Photoshop. Here's another desktop picture I made, this one titled "Bright Water." Go and download it from the Computer Generated section of the Desktops.

And make sure to keep an eye out for a Team Freezee Pop Shop coming soon.

Two Big Ones (x2) - 3/7/03

Tempest and I (Squeaks) have just acquired two new Dual 1.25 GHz G4 Towers (one for each). Damn, they are sweet and fast as hell. And of course they have been put to work already on distributed.net to help Team Freezee Pop take over the world! Check the stats page to see the ass kickage. On a different note, I just fixed a problem which caused the background image on the Freezee Pop News page to repeat itself. Now back to playing with my tower.

Keep up the good work team members, and for all of you who aren't on the team yet, join now!

Nice And Clean - 2/15/03

I just finished cleaning up the html that makes Freezee Pop possible and while at it, also eliminated a problem where the News page would not render correctly under Internet Explorer on Windows.

A Store? - 2/2/03

One may ask why would Freezee Pop need a shop? And I would simply answer because we can. So as you probably already noticed, Freezee Pop has added a shop that is brought to you by cafepress.com. If you like Freezee Pop, hate Freezee Pop or just don't care, feel free to buy from us at anytime. Links to the store are located on the right and one more is available in the Random Crap section.

A PS2 Movie - 11/24/02

My topic was on Sony, so I decided to make a movie that shows some of the games on the PS2. Now I think I will let the whole world see it, so go get it!

Not Desktop Pictures! - 11/13/02

I have finally added a little more to this website (other than just desktop pictures). Under the "Random Crap" section, you can now find links to some of my friend's websites and a small history about the Freezee Pop website. That's all for now.

And More... - 11/5/02

Three more desktop pictures have been added, all of which you can download here. I know, I know... more desktop pictures are probably getting boring, so I will try to come up with some different content to add. Until then, have fun playing with all of the beautiful desktop pictures.

Even More Desktop Images - 10/28/02

Five new desktop pictures have been added under the "Real Desktop Pictures" section.

New Site Design - 10/20/02

Welcome to the new and improved (we hope) Freezee Pop! As you can see we recently completely overhauled the site. Although there is not much here right now, we hope to bring you more content within the next few weeks.

More Desktop Images - 10/20/02

Just added four new desktop pictures, all of which where created from scratch in Adobe Photoshop 7. You can stop by and check them out here.

We're Still Alive - 4/14/02

This is a kind of pointless update, but I wanted to do something. I hate it when websites go stale! To change the site a bit I added seperator lines between the updates on this page and I made the "Freezee Pop" in the copyright info into an email link so you can email us. On a good note, our Folding@home team has busted into the top 1000 =)

More Work - 3/31/02

Nothing happened yesterday but we did do some big stuff for today. Alan finished the nav bar which now makes this site feel more complete and we used jpegs for the title so Internet Explorer (stupid M$ piece of shit!) displays the title and gradient correctly.

Purdify Those Desktops - 3/29/02

Hell must have frozen over. Freezee Pop actually has stuff on it other than self promoting rants. Just in case you don't know where to find this elusive new stuff, click here. Expect more stuff to happen tommorrow.

Hi World! - 3/28/02

Stuff is slowly falling into place and making this feel like it may actually be a website. As the week goes on, more stuff will receive some needed attention and become useful, pretty, and functional. Hopefully everything will be up and running without problems by the end of spring break.
